Dunkin’ Donuts presented a $6,100 donation to the American Red Cross today at the chains 8021 Liberty Road location in Baltimore. The money will help the Red Cross provide relief to Marylanders affected by regions average of three disasters a day, usually house and apartment fires.

“When community partners like Dunkin’ Donuts support our mission, it helps change the lives of local families in need,” said Red Cross spokesman Daniel Sanborn.

The Dunkin’ Donuts donation is from the sale of their two pound coffee gift packs. One dollar from the sale of each gift pack will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, to help local Red Cross volunteers provide food, clothing, shelter and emotional support to disaster victims. The Red Cross also provides an array of safety classes in the community, including CPR, first aid, baby sitter training and water safety.
